Remember that we provide this information as a great way for you to find out which hoverboards to choose and how you can best use them. We promise you that these self-balancing scooters will provide you hours of fun if you keep them in the best possible condition and care.

Swagtron T1

Self-Balancing Electric Scooter

$

The self-balancing electric scooter company known as Swagtron is represented by three models here. The first we will note is their T1 model, the first to be UL certified for electrical safety and reliability. It has a top speed of 8 miles per hour and a range of up to 11 miles on a single charge.

The scooter features an upgraded 250 watt motor and gear stabilization so that you can easily go up and down hills without much difficulty. One distinct feature of the Swagtron scooters is a built-in learning mode, which governs your speed while you learn to ride the scooter until you can figure out how to accelerate it.

Hoverboard Powerboard

The Hoverboard Powerboard is made by the US-based firm Hoverboard, and like the other models here, it is UL certified for electrical safety, so you can be assured that you can ride this scooter without significant electrical issues. Its steering system could not be simpler enough: lean forward to go forward, and lean back to go into reverse.

It has a smooth acceleration system so that you can go faster without feeling a huge jolt. Its top speed is 10 miles per hour, which is faster than most of the hoverboards we have reviewed here, and that top speed is within the maximum range for vehicles of its kind in most US jurisdictions.

Razor Hovertrax 2.0

Hoverboard Self-Balancing Smart Scooter

$

black razor hovertrax

The Razor Hovertrax 2.0 claims to be the world’s smartest self-balancing scooter, and for good reason. It has a unique EverBalance technology which automatically levels the hoverboard either while still or in operation. This makes it easier for riders to mount the self-balancing scooter and keep their balance while on board.

The motor is one of the more powerful we have reviewed, at 350 watts, offering a cruising speed of at least 8 miles per hour over a sixty minute period between charges. There is a training mode which regulates the speed until a rider becomes familiar with using the self-balancing scooter.

Swagtron T3

Hands-Free Smart Balance Scooter with SentryShield

Here is one of the more advanced models of the Swagtron range! The Swagtron T3 Self-Balancing Scooter not only has the distinct features of the brand’s other hoverboards, but has a powerful engine (at 300 watts) and two other features which we will note here.

The first are Bluetooth speakers which connect to any Bluetooth enabled device like a smartphone, so that you can hear the music while riding away. (Just be sure to stay focused on the road, of course.) The second is an app that allows you to track your riding history and control the hoverboard’s mode with the touch of a finger.

Swagtron T5

Self-Balancing Scooter

$

The second model we are reviewing here from Swagtron is their T5 Self-Balancing Scooter. Like the other models from them we are reviewing, it has the standard UL certification, but unlike the other models, it is lighter and sleeker. The motor is a 200 watt motor, which provides top speeds of 7 miles per hour and a maximum range of 7 miles on a single charge.

This still allows you to go fast, but not too fast, and enjoy all the benefits of a good self-balancing scooter ride. The scooter also features rubber bumpers and a battery indicator to show battery life.

Hoverzon S

Self Balancing Hoverboard

$

The Hoverzon S Self-Balancing Hoverboard is one of those basic hoverboard models you might want to try. Like all of the hoverboards on this list, it is built with safety and reliability in mind, having the usual UL certification. Simplicity is its watchword: instead of relying upon advanced systems, it counts on the dynamic equilibrium of the rider to keep the board in control through shifting weight.

It features an LED battery indicator to check on battery life, fender bumpers for added safety, no-slip riding pads so you can ride properly, and superior traction tires so that you can ride this hoverboard over any decent terrain.

Segway MiniPRO

Smart Self Balancing Personal Transporter with Mobile App Control

$

One cannot avoid talking about self-balancing scooters without mentioning one of its pioneers. The Segway MiniPRO has a top speed of 10 miles per hour while being powered by a dual motor system that generates up to 1600 watts of power, and a maximum range of 14 miles, which is longer than most of the ones we are reviewing here today.

The range allows you to travel a little further with the kind of power you expect from a Segway. The Bluetooth-enabled app allows you to control the MiniPRO with just one tap, and has an anti-theft feature that notifies you if your device is being taken away.

Skque I1

Classic 6.5" Smart Two Wheel Self Balancing Electric Scooter with LED Lights

$

blackskque I1 hoverboard

The Skque I1 Self-Balancing Scooter is your basic self-balancing scooter, and the manufacturer claims that it is easy to learn, though we wonder why they add it would take hours! This scooter has a dual motor system that generates 500 watts. It has a top speed of 6 miles per hour, which makes it one of the slower models we are reviewing.

What it lacks for speed it makes up for in range, with a minimum of 11 miles and a maximum of 15 miles on a single charge. This is the furthest of any hoverboard we have reviewed yet, and this allows you to take your adventure further. Finally, it has LED headlights so that you can see in the dark and that others can see you on the road or bike trail.

EpikGo

Self-Balancing Scooter

$

Finally, we bring you the self-balancing scooter that, its manufacturer says, can definitely go anywhere. The EpikGo Self-Balancing Scooter has dual electric motors providing up to 400 watts of power, making it possible for the scooter to go up and down bike paths, roads, or any other terrain without much difficulty.

To help the motors and the scooter do this, the hoverboard has two all-terrain tires which can grip on any surface and, with a careful sense of balance, you can go through both rocky paths and smooth roads without any difficulty. Thanks for reading this list, and happy shopping!
